During this connector we will be
learning about Spring and how it is different from the other seasons.
What changes in Spring? Use your senses to describe the changes.
We will be learning about common garden and wild plants.
Do you know the names of any of these plants?
We will be writing about plants, doing observational drawings and learning about the artist Georgia O'Keefe. We will be investigating what plants need to grow and stay healthy.
In maths we will be learning to read and write numbers to 100 and beyond in numerals and words. The children will be using the language 'more than' and 'less than.' They will solve problems using the four operations. Mental maths will include counting forwards and backwards, adding numbers to 20 and counting in twos, fives and tens.
This term our shared reading book is 'How flowers grow.'
