During this connector we will be learning about the
history of Bonfire Night and how and why it is celebrated in Autumn. They will use their senses to describe and write poems about fireworks. They will be creating some sparkly works of art. The connector will conclude with all the sparkle of Christmas.
The children will continue to count forwards and backwards starting from different numbers. They will learn to read and write numbers in numerals and words up to 20. They will also be learning about 2D and 3D shapes, including using shapes to complete and make patterns. They will also be adding and subtracting 1 digit numbers.
Children will begin to learn about their five senses and using their senses to support their learning across the curriculum. They will learn about Autumn as part of the ongoing study of the seasons.
We will be learning about using the internet safely and how to use a variety of applications and devices.
This term we will be continuing to learn about “Special Times.” We will learn about Bonfire Night and Christmas and explain why they were special.
