Our connector is ‘All The World's a Stage’ and we will be reading the play by William Shakespeare 'Romeo and Juliet'. We will use the play for reading and writing sessions and will use the story to debate key issues in the book. In English, we will describe scenes in the play as well as exploring play scripts and the language of Shakespeare.
To help you in Maths, try to learn your multiplication facts at home. This will help you in class as we will be learning about factors, square and prime numbers. Our main focus this half term will be on area and perimeter where children will be learning how to find these for rectangles, triangles and parallelograms. We will also be revising previous topics learnt in preparation for our SATs exams.
Our Science focus is electricity. Children will be learning about electrical circuits and the different parts. They will be doing lots of practical work investigating the brightness of bulbs and exploring electrical safety.
