The funding received for the financial year 2016-17 is £10,626. We have used the majority of the funding to be part of Project He:Ro. This has enabled us to have a Health Mentor in school for three days a week, supporting the well-being of the children and increasing their enjoyment of sports.
Our Health Mentor, Gyles spends his time keeping the children active during Breakfast Club, mentoring, coordinating lunchtime play, classroom coaching, PE classes, running after school activities and developing a rapport with pupils to maximise their potential. He also trains out school football and athletics teams.
We have also used the funding to pay for our membership of the Haringey Sports Development Scheme.
