Mental Health and Wellbeing
Thu 07 May 2020Hello everyone,
This is just a short message to say that I am thinking of you all and so looking forward to seeing you again soon.
It has been fantastic to hear how you are getting on from members of staff who have been very busy making phone calls and leaving messages to let you all know that we are thinking of you. Many thanks for your own goodwill messages checking that we are all ok too.
I know that lots of you are doing your best to complete homework activities. Well done! It is also very important that you take time to do some fun activities as this is a very stressful time for all. Ms. Golding, Ms. McTaggart and Ms. Jamal are all planning some fun activities for you to do over half term.
In the meantime please do have a look at some fantastic ideas from Groundswell Arts who have put together a Social Distancing Family Festival which includes a Big Chalk tonight! All information on this can be found at www.groundswellarts.com/families.

VE Day
Wed 06 May 2020I posted a message last week to remind you all that the 75th anniversary of VE Day is coming up this coming Friday the 8th of May 2020.
Before the lockdown came into effect, many people were planning street parties and other events to mark the day. However, all these plans have of course had to change. Here are a few of the things that are going on:
- At 11am there will be a 2 minute silence across the country to remember those who died during the war.
- At 2.45pm on BBC1, Winston Churchill's incredibly famous speech about victory in World War 2 will be played.
- At 9pm, the Queen will make a special televised speech to mark the day.

Mental Health and Wellbeing - Support available!

As this lockdown continues, it is increasingly important to make sure we are looking after our mental health and wellbeing.
The Mental Health Support Team in Haringey have a phone line for pupils, parents and staff. I have attached the poster and included the main details below.

VE Day
Wed 29 Apr 2020Friday the 8th of May 2020 is going to be a bank holiday. This is very unusual because bank holidays in the UK are almost always on a Monday. However, this bank holiday is particularly special; it has been moved to a Friday because it will mark 75 years to the day since VE Day.
Now is a great time to read about what VE Day is and how it started, and possibly think of a way you could mark the 75th anniversary at home: you might draw a picture, make some bunting or decorate a cake in the appropriate colours.

Design A Super Bear

A short note today, just to say well done for coping with another week. Every one's circumstances are different at the moment and however your life is playing out you are all doing a fantastic job!
Thank you for bearing with us, whilst we battle our way through the never ending options for on line learning so we can find the best to offer you. Please do continue to share your children's learning with us (it doesn't have to be anything we have set). It is just lovely to see what they are getting up to at home; from playing in the garden, to going out for their daily exercise, to the creative things you as a family are getting up to. We love seeing it all!
