Re-opening of school

Many of you will have heard from the Prime Minister's announcement or from the media that schools have been asked to plan for a gradual reopening for more children than currently attend.

As all teachers all over the country, we are very keen to get back to what we do best and provide the best education we can for all our children. We are also all very much looking forward to seeing you all again!

We are working hard to plan a reopening that is safe for children, parents and staff but, as I'm sure you will understand, this is subject to very many changeable elements.

We will be in touch with parents of children in reception, year 1 and year 6 in due course with more specific details about when children can return to school and what school might be like for those who do return. There are, as yet, no plans for children in other year groups to return.

As the government has made clear, when school does open to reception, year 1 and year 6, parents with children in these year groups will be able to decide for themselves whether or not they send their children into school. Attendance for children in these year groups will not be obligatory.

In the meantime, stay safe and we hope to see more or you soon!
