I hope you all had a lovely half term with your children and managed to do some of the activities the Mental Health and Well Being Team put together for you.
As you may be aware, schools are now planning a wider re opening to some year groups. Year 6, Year 1 and Reception have been contacted initially to find out how many children we can begin to expect back over the next few weeks, and we have sent a message to all year groups advising you not to send your children to school until you have heard from us.
We are planning very carefully to ensure that our wider re opening is done in a safe and successful way. Starting from the 8th of June, some Y6 children can begin to attend school again. We have written to parents of eligible children so once again, please do not send your child to school, unless you have heard from us.
We will be contacting parents from Y1 and Reception over the next week to further discuss details of when they can return, and what this will look like.
As I'm sure you can imagine, the planning of this slow, safe return has been an incredible amount of work for school staff, so I'd like thank you for your patience and understanding while we ensure we get this right.
We will be in touch with you all very soon about some exciting new online home learning experiences that we have been working on too. We have done a lot of research to find the best platform for our school and we are happy to say that we have chosen Seesaw. This will allow for much more interaction between teachers and children. Your child's login details will be sent in the post, but you may want to prepare by downloading the Seesaw Class App. Once again we be in touch with you about this in the near future.
On that note, I hope you are managing to enjoy some of the lovely sunshine about.
Mrs Randles :)
