The tests that Year 6 sat are externally marked and then compared nationally for school league tables and pupil performance. Year 2 also sat new, nationally developed tests this year.
This year the SATS were rewritten in order to test the National Curriculum which came into force in September 2014. This new national curriculum has been devised to drive up standards. We have been instructed to tell Year 6 that they have either ‘met standards’ or ‘not met standards’.
The Department of Education have released headline information for this year.
We are really proud of our 2016 cohort of children. We wish to congratulate them on all the hard work they put into their studies this year. Our children have an excellent start to their school life and are able to successfully make progress throughout their time with us at Lordship Lane!
