Multiplication Flowers

Creating your own multiplication flowers will make learning the times tables fun.

Each flower has a circle center and a double row of 12 petals.

Create your own multiplication flowers. Write the primary factor on a circle. So if you are working on the 5s table, write 5 in the center and surround with petals.

Finally write as many multiplication facts as you can on leaves and stick along the stem of your flower. Remember you can use repeated addition to work out your answers e.g. 4 X 5 is 5+5+5+5=20

Try the activities below by opening them on your PC, phone or tablet. The images are saved as a JPEG file at the bottom of this page. Open in MS Paint on your PC or use the editing or mark up feature on your phone to write your answers directly on your screen.  Alternatively, you can write the answers on a piece of paper.

enlightenedChallenge: Can you match the multiplication sentence with the repeated addition sentences and find the answers?

5 X 2 = (   )                                                       3 + 3 + 3 = (   )
6 X 10 = (   ) 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = (   )
3 X 3 = (   ) 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = (   )
10 X 3 = (   ) 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = (   )
5 X 5 = (   ) 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = (   )
